About Us

Greetings and thank you for your interest.

I was given my first piece of antique furniture in 1971 and began my study and passion/hobby then.  It was the base of a cherry Connecticut highboy but I had no idea of details at that time, only that it had great legs and I liked the wood.  I was hooked.  Wife Ginny and I slowly collected, studied and furnished our home so we could enjoy the styles and items we liked.

I have always had strong woodworking skills and antique furniture fit right in with my interests there.  Types of wood, joints, finishes, proper repair all interested me and were studied for the pure love of it all.  Upon retiring from an engineering and math teaching career, here I am,  able to spend all my time doing what I enjoy so much.

Lets have a cup of coffee!
